Well last plum tree I had years ago was killed by drought. I finally got around to sticking a new Santa Rosa in the ground. Now it is succumbing to too much water!!!!!

Don't think its gonna make it. Feast or famine I suppose.

Pretty much lost the garden.

Lost two fruit trees last year to standing water. Two young pecan trees don't look great now, and they have been in the ground for a year now.

Of course the vegetation you DON'T want thrives on oversaturation. frown

LOL! Tis true! Garden is doing ok except for some of the tomatoes. They are getting too much water. One tomato, and heirloom (Cherokee purple?) iseems to be thriving on all this water. Watch! I prolly jinxed it! LOL! Wifey has a cherry tomato in a pot that's doing well on back porch. But it drains good!

Beans, squash, and cucumbers doing good! Heck even got pretty fennel! Never planted it before!!! Wife wanted some.

Okra's doing ok. Probably get some of that.

One tomato plant is ok so far. It's a sweet 100 cherry tomato.

Beef Steak, Big Boy, and Beef Master tomatoes are toast.

Corn fell over from root rot.

Didn't plant any beans or cucumbers this year. Prolly should have.

Good buddy of mine lives just west of Goliad, Tx. Says it rains all around him but he gets very little if any. Stock tank is half empty and the cows are polishing rocks. He would like a little of what you guys are getting.

I'm in Goliad County myself.

Even the high ground here is standing water. More expected.

We have red clay here, so we never get a harvest from tubers.

The rain will dissolve the clay, and it forms a crust over the seeds that is very hard for them to sprout.

Due to rain and hail, I have had multiple plantings of beans and okra and have got about 50% to come up.

Everytime I replant - more rain.

Nuts...

Since Randy and I are not there peeking out the back door every few minutes, your hinges should last a lot longer between oiling. miles
