Leupold recently replaced my old, dropped-on-a-hunt, bent-tube VX-III 3.5-10x50 with a brand new VX3i 4.5-14x50 30mm side focus with B&C reticle, worth roughly $750.
The problem is, I have no love for side-focus and all of my rings are one inch. I also don't care much for 50mm objective lenses.
Anyone want to trade?
I need a scope for my 25-06 antelope rifle, so 4-12 or 4.5-14 would be great. For obvious reasons, I like leupold, but any premium brand would be acceptable. Some type of long-range reticle is a necessity, since I'm not a turret-turner and don't wish to start down that road.
Difference in value can be solved with cash or other trade goods.
I also have a Vari-X II 3-9x40 and a Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 that need to find a home.

Send the bent tube scope to Leupold and it will be new again FOC.

I wonder why Leupold went all out on the replacement / upgrade instead of just swapping for a model of equal size, magnification and features? God bless their customer service but even that one doesn't make sense.
