Five days until the start of Prairie Dog Armageddon.

We hit this place for 1.5 days last year, on the hottest days of the year. We each went through 1K rounds...which is a good day and a half on the PD killing fields. Got almost four days this year...wish us luck!

Besides, this forum needed a new thread..... grin

Wow, I thought you were up there this weekend.. Have a great shoot.. Coming in this am from coyote patrol, I found 10 trucks from Missouri west of town on the BLM shooting dogs.. Sure was a surprise for me..

Our dogs on the BLM were just starting to recover from the plague that went through a couple years ago..

I noticed when I went through in May that the PDs were recovering pretty nicely everywhere down there.
A couple years ago they looked like they hit rock bottom at about 2% of their former numbers, this year it looked like 50% +....I hope Im right.
Hows the bunny population? Im about to see on this PD trip cause there was a butt load of them in the towns last year.

Go kill some for me, ingwe. You should have plenty to shoot, I haven't been able to get up into Big Sky country for 8 years now. cry And I do miss the trigger time on the prairies.
Hope you run out of ammo! laugh

The ammo is a concern...but not a big one whistle Ill be taking three rifles and anywhere from 400 to 1,000 rounds for each . I don't mind coming home with ammo left...but I hate running out on the killing fields!
The .204 will be getting a workout for sure.....

Just got back from the Wyoming pd fields. Good dog numbers and a high percentage weren't too smart. The 204 was very impressive.

My friend Mike and I went out on memorial weekend in the panhandle of Oklahoma. We shot for 3 hours on Thursday 3 hours on Friday the wind was terrible and 8 hours on Saturday no wind perfect day for shoot'n. I ran through 1008 rounds total. The 204 was great but my 223 ackley with 53gr vmax's and 75gr Amax's were equally as good. 222 was a killer too. Still waiting to here how many rounds Mike went through. He was able to dust off a few with his 22/243 Middlestead. It was pretty nasty!!!

I am despondent......beyond despair. My PD shoot has been called off due to plague and poison. cry
My pard called from the killing fields...they are devoid of life.

I think I'll go drink something bad for me.
