Looking to do a rebore project on a pre 64 fwt barrel. Does anyone have a FWT barrel in 243 or 308 that they don't want any more?

AguyinAK: I have two VERY nice Winchester pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight barrels, they are both in 308 Winchester caliber. For $100.00 plus shipping I would part with ONE of them! Good luck with your project and maybe if you respond to me you could clarify if you are looking for someone to GIVE you a Winchester pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight barrel OR if you are looking to BUY one? Again best of luck with your project. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

VarmintGuy: Nope not looking for a give away, but more for a barrel with bad rifling. My goal is not to rebore a perfectly usable barrel as they are not making any more, but to find one that was used and abused, but with a rebore and refinish could be brought back to life. I'm fine with paying for a barrel. Thanks for the gracious offer, but I'd rather that one go to someone restoring or rebarreling a cherished rifle and not to my Frankenstein project.

AguyinAK: Received and again good luck - I will keep my eye out for you. Headed to another gunshow this week in fact - will get a phone number if I see a suitable barrel. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Aguyinak, I'm assuming you're doing an sa rebore? Thought I had just what you were looking for, but after digging it out, it's an 06 fwt barrel that I dug outta the smiths take off bucket. I picked it up for the very reason you're looking. Had nothing in mind, but more of a just in case, lol.
