2750-2800 is doable. 2900 is leaning on it hard.

David That's impressive. The 3 I've owned and loaded for I couldn't hit 2900. What's your brass life like?

With the right powder, yes - RL16 or RL17 would be where i would start.

Im going to have to try some of that Reloader 17. Does it have the velocity swings of RL 22 with the change in temp?

I loaded the same 10 cases repreatedly once I got to 5 loadings with primer pockets still tight I quit worrying about it. RL17 is consistent and gives good accuracy for me. It seems to work best in a chambering where you've got a full case or a lightly compressed loads. David

I have a short action laying around and want to do something with it and I have a custom 7rem. mag for long range and it is pretty chunky so that's why I don't want to do a 280 no long action laying around. thanks for the replys and keep them coming

My wife's 7-08AI set at idle will run a 140 Accubonds at 2875 fps with h4350. Pushed hard it easily breaks 3000fps. With a 21" Douglas cm pipe. The 150's easily run 2825 fps with rl17.

IIRC I get close to 2900 with a 150BT using H4350. I find H4350 and R17 interchangeable with R17 normally edging 4350 for speed except in my 6XC where they are truly interchangeable.....

Someone's gonna come along and call you guys hotrodders... I'm sure you're right. Wouldn't surprise me if it's someone that feels like it's perfectly acceptable to run a 7RM at the ragged edge, but gets their undies in a bunch anytime someone leans on a 308/30-06 based case. David
