Hey guys, I checked on the Alaska DF&G page about hunting public lands and it says to ask the Alaska Public Land Info Center. I asked them, they say they don't have maps confused

So how exactly do I go about finding out property boundaries so I don't wander onto somebody else's property?

Alaska DNR has a "mapper" program online, still investigating that to see if it'll give me what I'm looking for.

I know there's a company that sells software for your PC and GPS that have that info, obviously they get it from somewhere. Or do I just need to break down and buy that?

Thanks!

I broke down and bought the chip (hunt by OnX maps). It was $100. Very handy for navigating areas that have a lot of private property mixed in with state/borough/fed land.

I never found a source that did what I wanted, but I'm sure it is out there in some form...

Yeah it does look super handy, may be a good investment even if there is an alternative out there for free.

Maybe once my house sells I'll pick up a new GPS and one of the chips.

I also have the chip but I'm still getting sued for tresspassing. In the end it will make a good story. I will post when the dust settles.

The Matsu Borough has or used to have an interactive property map on their web site. I haven't used it in several years but used to check it occasionally. It allowed one to click on a parcel of land and would provide landowner information.

Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Yup, it's still there, our realtor showed it to us back in January, pretty nifty tool.
