Layne has been anxious to get out and set limb lines for the first time this summer, so last night we finally had a chance to get out to the lake where we do a lot of our deer hunting. Here's the result: (We had fish on almost 1/2 of our lines, with the largest flathead weighing 26#.)

I did that many decades ago as a kid. Kind of like running a trapline for fish. Loved it. Congrats on your success and happy frying.

Thanks, 30338. I haven't had the experience of running a trapline, but can see where it would be about the same. Definitely an anxious feeling as you look ahead down the bank to see if the next line is moving or limb is bouncing.
