I have an older Leica LRF non scan that stopped working, is it worth sending in for repair?

I'd send it in.

I used to have a Leica but sold it and bought a Vortex with a lifetime warranty.

How's the vortex compared to the Leica?

It won't do any good to send the LRF 1200 in. Leica not only refused to warranty mine, they would not repair it , either. I have a friend that has some 10x42 Geovids at Leica because the rangefinder quit working, and they have been there for eight months. I solved my problem by buying a Vortex Ranger 1000. He solved his by buying a Sig Kilo 2000 last week. My Vortex works just fine, and he likes his Sig.

They wouldn't fix mine, offered me a few bucks off a new one.

It doesn't have the glass that my Leica had but it's not that far off. I've had mine for 3 years and have enjoyed it.
