I will be selling off a fairly hard to find 99DL in 300 Savage as soon as I get off my lazy azz and take some photos. It took me many years to find one. Price will be within reason. Giving the guys here a chance to think about it before listing. Let me know if there's any interest. It's the 24" barrel model, I believe it's the third one down here.

Nice rifles Roy. They are not junk. Killed more than a few heads of game with post mils. They always go bang. The trick is pointing them straight.

Saw your .358. Why sell the DL if it took so long to find? Nice rifle. What do you know about the bottom 99 in your picture? It has a spectacular piece of wood and must have been a DL DL!

It has a spectacular piece of wood and must have been a DL DL! That's the one Don/Loggahs brother owned. It's a 99F with PE wood. It's currently at the gunsmiths. I've been waiting for him to screw the Savage 22-250 barrel on it since last year. I'm about done with gunsmiths. Gunsmiths suck.

Dang, and I thought that Oregon would have been one of the last great bastions of the gunsmithing trade!

The only time I was stymied by a barrel that I couldn't deal with in my barrel vise was when I tried to unscrew a Mauser 98 barrel that had been in place for 80 years. I took it to a buddy who had a big mongo vise, and more importantly a loooong wrench handle that allowed both of our fat butts to hang on it. As the sweat beaded on our foreheads, the barrel finally went "screeeeeeech" and unscrewed. 99 barrels are never that bad, or so I'm told. My 99 barrel projects have all unscrewed by hand. Yet another benefit of TD's!

I just have the one 375 now, the carbine I recently put together. Ask Loggah Don what I gave his brother for that bottom one.
