Curious to hear the prevailing wisdom here.

My 7 WSM shoots great, I mean really great, when the "nut behind the butt" isn't getting in the way. I am working hard to ID and eliminate a "flyers to the right" issue that I've traced to my right (trigger) hand, primarily, at least in terms of position and personal body parts..... Also figured out I wasn't pre-loading the bipod consistently. At this point it's shooting great from prone if a guy could just ignore the about 1/5 shots I screw the pooch on...... But I can't.

So ANYWAY, following some advice from a couple of folks, I pulled it from the stock and minimized the overtravel, and while I was at it, brought the pull weight down even lower than I already had set it years ago.

I've owned a couple Jewels and currently own a Timney Calvin Elite @ 1.5 lb. Bassd on those, I'd say the Kimber trigger is now around 1.5 - 1.75 lbs pull weight.

Have any of you messed with Kimber triggers set this low? It passes the bolt slam and butt slam tests.

I will be evaluating this myself; it might be too light for general hunting, or it might not. Not asking for "the Internet" to make this decision for me; it's going to get shot this way. Just wondering what others have experienced, or heard, with this particular trigger group set LIGHT.

Jard makes a great replacement if yours does not go as low as you would like. I have 22-ounce triggers in 2 of my Kimbers.

All my Kimbers are set at 1.5lbs, which is about as light as I could safely get them. Could possibly push it to 1 lb, I haven't tried messing very much with them that light, so can't say for sure.
