All good here Geno!

No hail in this one and we always welcome moisture.

Dumpster rolling down the street like a tumbleweed....

I'm thinking sure as hell it's gonna hit my neighbor's truck and it flips and plants itself right on the corner of the lawn.

Video would have been awesome.

No hail = good.

Moisture, good unless your fighting rust. Folks around here been treating more than normal to hold it at bay. I'm betting the garb and lentil farmers are happy though!

Have a great Saturday, Sam.

Yep, video would have been great!

My "potted" trees blew over twice today. Don't think it knocked too many peaches off though. I put a big rock in the "pot" to hold it down better. smile

Again, have a nice weekend

Rubbing salt in the wound...

A quick midweek trip, 5 hour soak, high graded two limits, some real monsters. Much better quality of crab than last time.

Cracked crab and leman butter that night, with a nice margarita to wash it down. These guys had been swimming just hours prior.

And let's face it, fresh cracked crab gets tiring after awhile, so I toasted some English muffins, sautéed some mushrooms, threw in some green onions, Parmesan and Swiss cheese, added a little mayo, and baked them for 30 minutes. I think I had cold beer for this one.

99s, it looks like you had a good trip. The stone work is awesome. Just think, they did that about 3000 years ago and it's still standing.

A buddy of mine was in Italy 2 weeks ago. He said the stone work is unbelievable.

Yep, it's really awesome, for sure.

Amazing what was done all those years ago, & with the tools they must have had.

My Grandfather was an "old school" carpenter. I used to love watching him work with his tools & skill craft. That stuff floats my boat.

Pompeii was really awesome too. Got some pics somewhere (not on my phone), I'll have to dig a little more !

Yeah, we spent a month in Italy in 2001 & noticed the EU influence way more this time. The switch over to the Euro, across the board, certainly meant way inflated prices this time round !

Here are some views from around my twenty-some acre homestead, nothing fancy, just scenes I thought were worth snapping..

From atop my highest point, looking westerly..

Looking down my driveway from about the half way point..

The little meadow upon the highest point, looking west..

Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to observe a swarm of honey bees, splitting off from their nest tucked in a hollow Cherry Tree. I was out tilling my garden, and watched them swarm back and forth between their old home, and the Poplar where they decided to start a new colony. Here they can be seen resting on a post. There had to be several hundred of them in all; the swarm was so dense, at first I thought they were locusts!

These were from fall of 2015, during a woods walk on the state game lands a mile or so from the homestead. I managed to bring back a few pictures of my little CZ Bobwhite .410..

Purty lil gun !!

Love the bees & oysters. Just need some cold Guinness.

Great stuff guys.

Keep them coming, I'm sick of all the other bullschitte happening in the campfire & need something calming to look at !
