I have used 7828, RL-22, H-4831,H-450 and probably a couple more I can't think off. But I have never used Mag Pro in my 270 Wbys. Has anybody used it a how did it work. I noticed the Barnes book has it as most accurate with the 130 TS.
Also the Sierra book shows it to good in the 300 win With 165's.

I used it it's gets you the velocities you want but not very accurate. Only round it ever worked good in for me was the 270 Wsm. Like you I ended up with 7828 for the weatherby

I've used Magpro in my 7 SAUM with good velocities and great accuracy.

In the past I liked RL-22. It gave me better vel with good accuracy. Just had a new barrel installed and thought I might try some Mag Pro. Hoping someone has some experience with it. My favorite load used 140 Fail Safes and I'm almost out. Hasbeen

I've tried Magpro in quite a few cartridges. It usually gets great velocities but only in a couple rounds has it been more accurate than other powders.

I tested a bunch of loads in a 6.5x284 and of the powders tested, MagPro gave me the best velocities but accuracy was still just OK.
Then I fed it some Scirocco II along with MagPro,
Wow, Angles popped out of the clouds and started singing it was so good!

I got great groups and speed out of MagPro with 130's out of my Tikka 270 WSM. Sub MOA and 3300 fps. The Montana shot them good too, but the Tikka edged it out a bit. A buddy loading for his boy's 270 WSM Fwt couldn't get anything to shoot under 1" until he tried Magpro. I recently tried it in my 6.5x284 but Ramshot Magnum shot better. First run through. Juries still out.

Does anyone know if there's any Ramshot Magnum hitting the shelves? I'd like a pound or 8.

That's been my experience, too. Still, I often try it to see if it's one of the couple.

Magpro in the 150 Hornady are a beautiful match to my 270 Marlin. Nice round, 5 shot, 2 inch groups at 200 yards.
It burns nice and clean and I think I read somewhere it's pretty darn good on temperature sensitivity.

Not according to one of the long-time ballistic lab guys at Western Powders.

I stand corrected perhaps it was Magnum I read did pretty well? And of course it may depend upon the cartridge?

Yeah, it does depend on the cartridge, though with some powders more than others. Magnum is more temp-resistant than Magpro.
