Anybody have one, or shot one? Sure don't need one, just thought they looked like a fun little plinker.

Looked one over for the same reason. Downside. Short stock, plastic Plus side , the tactical style bolt savage uses is very user friendly Short barrel and light hollow stock would make it an ideal out the window truck gun, in places that allow such things of course

Mine is enjoyable to shoot. Accuracy is sub 1" at 50 yds with gold dot target and CCI ammo. The most accurate of the inexpensive ammunition is the CCI 40 gr target. The gun has never given any problems. I would prefer Boyds wood stock but just don't justify the expense for a fun gun in 22LR.

I have a Savage Mark II FV that I put in a Savage laminated take-off stock. I like it OK, but also have the Marlin equivalent, the XT-22VR, and like it better.
I'm not tactically oriented, so a large bolt knob and/or a barrel threaded for a suppressor isn't a selling point for me.

It took a lot of time and money to turn one into a nice little rifle. Enough that it turned me into a CZ man for rimfires.

I bought one of these a couple months back and am very pleased with it, with Aguila Super Extra ammo it keeps right up with my CZ's.

I bought a Mark-2 Savage back in December. Went to the range with it and was shooting 3-4 inch groups at about 60 yards. Hugely concerned. Shot about 150 bullets thru it and the groups shrank to way less than an inch. Last week we shot it and I put 15 shots in about a 3/4 in circle.

I love mine. You can't ask for better accuracy for a 250.00 rifle nib. Great trigger, great Bolt, and it's a superb truck gun. I slapped a Nikon 3-9 rimfire on mine and honestly would like something a bit more compact. I like mine so much I'm looking for another in 22mag.
