I've had this gun for a few years and it is really accurate and a great carry gun and has served me well but I got a new 26 Nosler and I think I'll play with it more than this. I am the second owner and am not sure of the Smith that put it together.

Rem 700 Long Action
Alaska Ti stock painted and bedded to this rifle by Karnis
BDL bottom metal
Trigger Job
24" Shilen Barrel measures .670 at muzzle
Cerakoted "Sniper Gray"
Approx 500 rounds down barrel

Very accurate rifle. Several loads with different bullets into 1/2"-3/4". I never settled on a good handload that I really liked but it shoots the Nosler Custom ammo 129gr Long Range Accubond into 5/8" groups all day long. It shoots them right at 3000fps or so. I just used those and quit trying to develop a load.

Gun only $1150 shipped to your FFL.
Scope can be included for $850 more for total of $2000. It's a Swaro Z3 4-12x50 with 4w reticle and Ballistic turret. It's not for sale by itself.

I also have lots of brass and dies and factory ammo if buyer interested.

Lee, what bullets did you try in your handloads that shot well?

Thanks,

Tanner

Tanner, it shot the 140 Bergers and 120 TTSX really well. Just never really decided on a definite load. Mostly used RL17 and 4831sc. It liked 100V powder as well. I could not get the 139 Scenar's to shoot very well and the 127 LRX's were in the 3/4-1" range but I never could produce a consitent load with them. I've got a bunch of Amax's but I never loaded them for this rifle. I wanted to try the 129 and 142 ABLR and bought a few boxes but never loaded them. Bought a box of Nosler Trophy factory ammo at Cabela's on sale and it shot them really well. Consistent 5/8" or so but only about 2950 fps. I decided that was good enough for me and have been shooting those. It will hold 3" groups at 500 with those and that's as far as I've shot them. The BT on the swaro is set to 500 with those loads.

Thanks
Lee

To answer some more questions, rifle weighs 8lb 1oz as it sits. Scope is 15ozs so bare gun should weigh 7lb 2oz with talleys as pictured.

Also, I've gotten a count on the brass if anybody needs it. I'll sell it and the dies cheap as a package to the buyer of the gun. It's not for sale currently until after the gun sells. Thanks

Do necks have to be turned to fit cartridges in chamber?

No neck turning needed. Up again. Lots of interest but still no takers.

Is that Shilen barrel a 1-8 twist?

Do you have a pic of how the cartridge designation is engraved on the barrel?

It is a 1-8" twist Shilen. It was put together by Redneck. I can take a pic and post it later. Thanks

Thanks Hanco.

Smack, my USB ports have fried on my computer so I haven't been able to upload any pics of the barrel markings. I can't get them on there from my phone either. If you will pm me your email, I can send them from my phone until I can get this usb thing figured out.

Thanks
Lee
