A Rem 600 6mm at $99.95 in around 1963. Wife has taken it away from me as her deer/pronghorn unit. I've since replaced it with about 15 other more expensive units in a variety of calibers.

Savage 99EG's weren't exactly inexpensive when they were made.

Savage 99EG's weren't exactly inexpensive when they were made. Not at the time.. but they've been able to be had at bargain prices the last 20+ years (in 300 Savage at least).  Inexpensive things when new that last forever? Lee reloading equipment comes to mind.

Swiss Army watch. Had one on my wrist daily for 20 years. Still in sync with my atomic clock, but looking the worse for wear. Switched over to another cheap watch in the same price range- Bertucci Field Watch. Can't praise it enough for rugged daily wear in a shop environment. Titanium case, nylon band, Japanese movement. I paid $1500.00 for this car and I doubt there are many other $1500.00 cars will keep up with it... What a beauty! Engine details please. I had a '68 and a '69, but the '65s were the best. My favorite Poncho, however is the '63 Grand Prix, kind of an oversized GTO. Took a while to get all that steel moving, but the top-end was pretty good. The 8-lug aluminum wheels were pretty sharp. If I ever get cash fat I might just have to go find another one of those.

Remington 788's back when they were $89 bucks new.
And both Gerber & Kershaw make some great little everyday knifes for under $30 bucks. And you can get a pretty nice Swiss Army knife for just a few more bucks, too.

Marlin model 60, first gun I ever bought with my own money. I paid a whopping $45 for it brand new at Woolco in the early '80s. It has always been scary accurate and totally reliable as long as it is kept reasonable clean.

I've had my share of ' schrade' knives. They would NOT hold an edge for me. No, I don't use a knife to open cans etc. IMO schrades are just that, cheap. Jerry

OTOH -
I HAVE 3 Bushnell Banner 4-12X40 AO scopes that I bought in the 80s for less than $90. each. So far I have not had ONE problem with them.
