I have an opportunity at a 1987 winchester 70 308 win featherweight. Comes with nikon monarch 3x9. $700 looks to be in good condition, few light dings in stock. Good deal ?

Seems a bit high to me, but I'm not a Winchester guy. I'd think closer to 600. Monarch is a good scope, but unless it's new it's not that valuable. Kaiser Norton

New ones are high $700's/low $800's.

I got a PF Model 70 (which I believe is what you're talking about) in 30-06 a couple years ago for $300.
I'd say that price you're citing could, even with the scope, come down substantially.

Offer $400 out the door and if they settle for $450 your gettin a fair deal (scope included). I personally wouldn't go over $450 total if it's a "push feed". Examine any rust or muzzle wear as well and leverage that in your negotiation.

Why is it that every time I see a "price check" here on the 'Fire, I feel like I'm in a Walmart? "Price check in aisle 4, please."
