Ran across this Benelli MP3S 32 S&W Wadcutter at a local shop and just had to have it: Also bought 150rds of Fiocchi 100gr wadcutter ammunition. Haven't had it out to the range yet but it should be fun; it's wonderfully fitted and the single-action only trigger is fantastic. Anyone else have an MP3S or a Benelli B76? From what I've read the B76 was the parent pistol of the MP3S and is a double stack 9mm service pistol. Info on either is somewhat hard to come by.

That ought to be a blast to shoot! I'd think that would make a stellar rabbit blaster.

I'd be chasing down a source of swaged wadcutters for that thing, when you use up those 150, you're gonna want a LOT more ammo. I concur with Crimson Tide, it'd be a rabbit gun without peer. It's gonna be funner than a new puppy and a roomful of kids. I stand in envy, sir.

I like
Lapua makes 32 target ammo, but I'd be loading my own. It's EASY to run through a bucket of 32's in no time.

I'll get it out to the range this Friday and if I don't lose interest I'll likely be laying in a supply of Starline brass and some swaged HBWC's.

It is a cool little shooter!

WOW, I haven't seen one of those since the '80's. Yes the B76 was intended to be a service pistol, but they never gained any significant sales. It's a strange pistol, all steel so it's a big heavy, and it uses an inertia locking blow back operating system (that's just SOOO Benelli) of operation. I wasn't a fan of the 9mm B76, but yours looks REALLY cool! I recall the slide stop was really tough to drop with an empty magazine inserted, and the ergonomics were very blocky to me. DA action was stiff, and SA was decent. I do remember it being accurate though.

That .32 should be a small game killing SOB. Kind of like a larger-caliber S&W 41.

What's interesting is that the SA trigger on this gun is basically the DA trigger from the B76 without the DA lock work. The trigger travel is almost 1/2" before it engages the sear and from there it is a very clean break. Feels a lot like a two-stage match trigger in a rifle.
