It appears that Ole girl loves the .224 60gr Sierra HP over 38.5gr of H4350. Since I'm new to reloading this is my first taste of success with my Howa 22-250. http://s844.photobucket.com/user/cstrickland4/media/20160716_192209_zpssvmefnit_edit_1468793693599_zpst9l8hvsl.jpg.html]

TheBig1: Congratulations on getting that Howa shooting so well! I assume that the group you shot there was at 100 yards? And by the way what scope do you have on that Rifle? Keep up the good work. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

VarmintGuy, yes I was shooting at 100 yards.
I have the scope that came with it, it's a Sterling 4x16x44.

Nicely done!
It sure is more fun with your own loads isn't it.

Happy that you found something that works. Now the bad news, they will change up the bullet some how and it will no longer shoot the same way.

Glad it's shooting good for you. I've been playing with loads for two different 22-250s.

If you like the Sierra 60 HP, I'd recommend you give the 60 V-Max a whirl as well. They are my most accurate in two different 22 centerfires.

Not butting in on Dave but HP or plastic tip bullet aren't fur friendly when shot at 22-250 velocities. I have had bullets not exit but the coyotes weighed well over 200 lbs. -honest -laf. Great shooting rifle you have there -love a 22-250. This little Idaho coyote got shot around 250 yards 55gr. Sierra Blitzking. Good job on your reloading & welcome to the 'Fire !

Thanks Mike. That's a pretty nasty round that you have there.
