It happens way too fast. I remember when this phase in a truck's life would send it down the road. Now we consider it just well broken in.

Yeah, for sure. Used to require a engine rebuild at that mileage. One would never consider buying a rig with 100k on it, but anymore, meh....

Yep, I am old enough to remember the oil changes at 1k, tuneups at 3k ..Points, Rotors and Coils Parts for the tuneup might have cost 10 bucks total though

Good luck my truck between 100k and 110 k cost me about $3.5k. Like everything went to hell haha. Under hood fuse box fried, rear brake pad came apart, exhaust blew a converter gasket resulting in basically all new exhaust from the y pipe back cause of rot, couple other things.

I'd say get a mule but from the sounds of your luck, it would die from a thrown shoe.

Was it a Chevy? My F150 does not even burn a qt of oil between changes. When I was young you had to add a qt every 1,000 or else. We changed spark plugs every fall so they would start in winter.
I like to do my hunting BEFORE I pull the trigger! There is only one kind of dead, but there are many different kinds of wounded.
