I acquired a Marlin 1894 a few years ago in a trade. I was not really looking for one. It just happened. It sat on the rack until a) I started shooting my own cast bullets and b) we started having a coyote problem. Now, whenever I'm out walking on the farm, I'm packing.
The original buckhorn sights were to too low. I could not adjust them high enough. I bought a Williams peep sight and put that on, leaving the original front sight. Now it shoots 4" high at 25 yards and I'm out of adjustment.
The original Marlin sight measure .573" high. The two Firesights that came with the Williams kit are two low, .55" or so.
What are your recommendations on how to proceed? I like the ghost ring, and I'd like to keep it if possible.
