If you can't wrap your mind around the reality of this becoming federal law, I cant help you...Keep thinking this is a "state" issue if you want, but it's not...
I hear you - but that 'federal law' worked so well last time (like, not at all) that I'm SURE it'll work very well this time..

Look - CITIZENS, all of us, need participate in massive civil disobedience.. ENOUGH of this gov't. What are the feds gonna do? Lock up a few hundred million people? Where?

Screw 'em..

Didn't the percentage of those in CT that obeyed the last anti-gun law equal about what, 5-7%? Tops?

Exactamundo...and when they march that 5-7 % to the pits, who is going to feel sorry for them?

Actually Redneck its what happens before they march them to the pits that will be the important issue. When registration morphs into confiscation ( notice I said "when" not "if"...) is when Civil Disobedience should be morphing into....shall we say...Civil Unrest.... whistle

"If a gun’s operating system is essentially the same as that of a banned weapon, or if the gun has components that are interchangeable with those of a banned weapon, it’s a “copy” or “duplicate,” and it is illegal."

"If a gun's operating system is essentially the same as that of a banned weapon".....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't just about every semi-auto firearm operate "essentially the same"?

And when it comes to the registration of "assault rifles", remember; there's no such thing as an unregistered "assault rifle". Only undocumented "assault rifles".

OH, I'm thinking that's EXACTLY what'll happen..

The "unrest" we're seein' now is nuthin' to what's a-comin..

Yep - it depends on what the definition of "essentially" is...

And you KNOW the a-hole politicians will tweak that to mean each and every semi-auto firearm in MA..

Maybe at a gun show, face to face with a non-FFL, but in Florida, for example, an FFL won't sell to anyone who doesn't have a Florida ID showing he's a Florida resident.

I agree to both sides... its a shame that folks have to live in and under regimes like this and dno't protest/stampede the SOBs running the states down the gangplanks.

OTOH Martin Niemoeller was so right... the fight involves all of us, its not a state, its a country. Still barely our country. We fight for us and for our fellow man.

The anti's plan is to have cases stacked in line from several districts so if Hillary gets two new judges on the SC they will be in position to immediately crush the 2nd amendment. A vote for anyone but trump is a vote to end your second amendment rights.

There is no way in Hell I would ever pay PRK property taxes or sales taxes, for starters. Clearly, you don't get it, and the antis thank you for your daily financial support.

What "doesn't matter" is your rhetorical BS.

When dealers are at risk of losing their entire business, they won't sell the guns on the list, and all your empty rhetoric won't change that reality.

If they are such a small percentage of the business, all the more reason to not sell them.

Your ignorance of gun laws is showing.

Firearms dealers have to comply with all the laws for the buyers state too.

They won't be able to buy them anywhere if they are MA residents.

Enforcement of any law is directly related to how many will buckle under and accept that law, and obey it.

Even if they know it's unconstitutional.

Tough talk is cheap when you aren't there.

The FFL dealers will all follow the law, as will the distributors.

Because they are still selling some guns and making some money.

The manufacturers aren't always selling directly to those states.

They sell to distributors who can sell nationwide.

When they stop making money, ties will be cut until the situation changes.

It's not rocket science.

If you owned S&W and sold most of your guns outside the state why would you continue making guns in state?

Because they don't care.
It's not costing them anything extra to stay there
It's about money, and nothing else.

Wrong, dumbass. Compare the tax rates on industrial properties and corporate income there to TX, AL, SC, TN, etc. Then factor in the labor rates in a union state like MA vs a RTW state like SC.

Good to see you "minding your business" and about to get your ass handed to you on yet another topic.
