At the Armijo Springs get together last week a new first for me occurred.
On our "pistol range" we had steels set at 125 and 167 yards.
Well...
With the Ruger Old Army loaded up I managed to nail the 125 yard steel off hand with a round ball.
It was awesome hearing the clang as all the smoke filled the air.
BP substitute and a round ball made my day!

Aw heck bcolorado, I hit that 125 yard clanger all the time. Of course, I'm using a rifle and a bench - but I don't see that big a difference. Well done my man. That had to make you smile.
My wife says I'm totally nuts, but I think I'm Semisane.

Yeah , was grinnin ear to ear.
My normal "therapy" spot has a 30-40 yard range so this was the first time stretching the Ruger.
Dang, that clang made me smile...

Sounds like I missed a good time. When I go out shooting with my buddy, we sometimes stretch out my .357 and his 41 mag to 150-200 yrds. He is much better at that than I am.
Only a dingleberry, not yet a Turdlike person, maybe someday!!! I am happier than a retard in a room full of bouncy balls right now!! Joe.
