Does anyone know what serial number range kimber started with the sub MOA guarantee. I have acquired a used kimber montana serial number 43xxx, but did not get the box or any paperwork. So far it appears to be a great shooter if i do my part on the bench. Thanks in advance.

Look for the Sub-MOA logo right under the picture of the rifle

Is this a guarantee?

Kimber rifles are designed to be capable of shooting a 3-shot group of .99” or less at 100 yards by a highly skilled and qualified shooter using factory ammunition.

And the accuracy standard probably only applies to the original owner😳

I think they went back and put tags on older guns that were still sitting on dealer shelves.

So serial numbers won't tell you much.

Truth. They mailed us hang tags for existing, older inventory.

The MOA accuracy standard was put in pace after stepping up QC practices. They paid more attention to the screw length, the height of magazines and set a standard for barrel torque.

I'd bet there is a "serial number" where the additional QC steps started, but I doubt they'd share it. They may have not even recorded it....
