I sent for a letter just in case there may have been some limited information for this .30-30 99EG that is in "the Gap". JTC wrote back "Cannot provide info. Regular entries ended at 371200 and did not resume until 400000. The few in between that are recorded do not include your SN. Sorry, JTC." Well, that is what I expected to hear back. It was a crap shoot from the start to send for a letter. JTC returned my check. Guess this checkered EG will just be another Savage anomaly, and supports the saying "never say never".
