Recently I have sold some boning knives by Bret Dowell. I had Larry Parsons make the sheaths for them. I decided to order extra, and Bret agree'd to fill 3 of them. So if you'd like one, here's a chance for a build.
Here is a description and picture of a recent one :
A boning knife with 3/32" thick hollow ground D-2. OAL is 9-3/8" ,with a blade of 5-1/8" from tip to handle scales and 4-3/4" of edge. Black linen micarta, mosaic pins,ss lanyard tube & orange liners. $375. includes shipping in the States and Paypal fee's
That knife above would run about $415. with sheath, shipped to you, from me.
The knife below is not one of these boning knives but has a handle that I can offer,it is a vintage brown micarta ,if you had your boning knife made up like this, figure $400. with sheath, shipped from me to you
with thin liners, please note,no jimping on the boning knife
The sheaths I ordered are double stiched with Belt loops for right side ,look like this
Here's a picture of the boning knife with brown,on the left
So,I am able to offer 3,to be built one at a time by Bret. If you are interested post here and contact me via PM
Green canvas micarta, jigged black, natural micarta ( slightly lighter in color than that brown) ,other handles are possible, some may require extra cost to the build.
The 3/32' D-2 is proving to be awesome utter. A few of us have these now and really are enjoying using them. Thanks guys
