just got another American in a Creedmoor, never had a Creedmoor, school me!

Mine has a Leupold VX2 4-12x40 mounted with a set of Warne Maximum fixed rings.
If you reload, buy some Hornady brass and the make/style/weight of bullets that you like and go forth.
If you want to shoot right away, the Winchester/Olin 140 grain and the Federal/American Eagle 140 grain match loads are the least expensive factory ammo that I've found. The Winchester/Olin ammo shoots good groups in my 6.5 Creedmoors, but not quite as good as the more expensive (and since discontinued) Hornady 140 grain AMax factory load.
My RAR-Predators in 204 and 223 have Weave V16s mounted with Warne Maxima fixed rings.
My RAR-Predators in 22-250, 243, 260, and 6.5 Creedmoor have 4-12x40s mounted with Warne Maxima fixed rings, an older Nikon ProStaff on the 22-250 and Leupolds on the others.
The groups that I have shot with the 6.5 Creedmoor RAR-Predator have all been MOA or better, unless I "oops'd" and pulled a shot.
The two things that I don't like about the RARs are the magazine and the stock ergs don't fit my as well as I'd like. I've swapped a few of the stocks for Boyds laminated in the Heritage style, but that change added an entire pound to the weight of the package. The improved ergs are worth the added weight to me, but I wouldn't want to carry the toad if my hunting required a lot of vertical movement.

Thanks 260 Remguy, i do reload, and did find some Hornady brass. i shoot alot of Varget, have you ever tried it in the 6.5?

Sorry, can't help you with Varget. The only powders that I've used have been H4350 and H4895 and the only bullets that I've loaded have been 123 grain AMax, 129 grain SST, and 130 grain AB.

If you have Varget try some 120 gr bullets. Varget was the recommended load printed on the 120 AMax box. 39.0 gr./F210M primer. I have read previously this load was hot in some rifles so back off and work up slowly. I have had good luck with Nosler 120 gr BT and Varget as a hunting round. Also good luck with Hodgdon 100V with 130 Berger VLDs. H4350 and IMR 4451 are staples for 140 gr bullets.

Anybody know the actual OD of the barrel shoulder at the muzzle on these RAR Creed rifles? My brother bought one but does not have a set of calipers. Wants me to help him get a brake contoured at the rear to be fairly flush with the OD of the shoulder.
