We bought a few yetis some time ago, a year or more probably.

In TX heat my wife who works out in the field a lot, puts ice in hers around 730 am, then puts her tea over the ice at noon.... and there is still ice left at 530 or so when she gets home, having been out and about in the heat, her work vehicle, her office and so on. With our heat, its pretty impressive.

We have the ozark trails too, and while they are decent they have not been as good in the summer as the yetis.

FWIW.

Because regardless of what the cup is made of, 90 proof is melting ice.

If it's water it will sit all day.

I can't complain. At 6:00 AM I put about 1/2 cup of ice cubes in my 30 oz cup and fill it with water.

By 7:00 Am it is sitting on my desk at at work at 90 degree ambient temp.
By 9:00 The water is gone and I add two cans of diet Coke from the fridge. By noon I add another two cans of diet Coke from the fridge.
By 1:00 PM the ice is gone, but the soda is still quite cool at 3:00 PM.

It does not quite compare to a good Stanley thermos bottle, but it is a lot handier and still does well enough.

I see what appears to be 'impossible' claims for and against the cups.
After using the two brands side by side, I say some of those claims are true. But not all. I won't say who is fudging, but you know. lol

Weird. Wal-Mart in liberalville portland is $8 and $10.

The only thing that goes in tumblers is 90 proof whiskey or coffee.

A study showed the $40 Yeti beats the $10 Ozark Trail by 400%

A simple scientific test proved this

I was just at Walmart. They had a lot of each size in camping area,
and none in the area where the rest of the tumblers are in housewares.
I picked up a 30oz.

I picked up a Wal-Mart 20 oz tumbler this morning to check it out. Filled it with cold tap water, took a few sips and then forgot about it for a bit. When I checked it out a couple of hours later, it was frozen solid! Would like to see one of those overpriced Yeti's do that.

Yeti does beat the Ozark Trail by 400%,... in price.

The "simple scientific test"? Basic math.
