King of the 2 Miles shoot at Whittington a month ago.

Mitchell Fitzpatrick and his spotter Paul Phillips won KING trophy with a score of 65k. Mitchell used his
impressive .375 Lethal Precision Arms LLC rifle shooting prototype solid 400gr Berger bullets. He built
this rifle himself using a McMillan A5 Super Mag stock, Rock Creek barrel, Nightforce ATACR MOA scope,
Phoenix Precision Bipod and a Lethal Precision Arms muzzle brake. Remarkably, Mitchell nailed first- and
second-shot hits at the 2477-yard target, a full 1.4 miles away.

The performance of Mitchell Fitzpatrick’s .375 Lethal Precision Arms LLC rifle with a prototype
400 grain Berger Bullets solid was superb, (G7 BC of 0.56 at 3000 fps). ” Berger’s new
prototype .375-cal 400gr projectile around 2850 [that] we have been developing gave us a monumental ballistic advantage. [It was] without a doubt, a key to our success"
With any extreme shooting, it is equipment and cartridge as well as skill and this
performance helped Mitch win the match.

Mitchell gave credit to his team-mates: “We had the best ballistic solutions possible thanks to the work done at
Applied Ballistics LLC by the one and only Bryan Litz. Bryan is also a world-class wind coach and world champion
shooter, and just an all-around class act. Paul was also invaluable to making the wind calls we needed to win this match.”

Bryan got second place and Paul got 4th, both using Bryan's 338. There were a lot of shooters
even some with 50 BMGs and big heavy guns.

Mitch is a here in Central Michigan, a few miles away, and he built his wildcat 375 Lethal using our
585 HE brass. Made it full length, it is big one on the right in picture..
He used the Lawton Action we had here. Ed

Doc Beech was over a couple weeks ago and filled me in on the match. Incredible shooting with top notch equipment. What are the specs on the brass, Ed. Length and diameter at the rim?

The cases after necking to 375 are 3.3" long

Belt and rim on ones he has is .654"...

Also guy in Alaska who did 375 Warlord has same rim

and belt and Warlord case is about same length..

I Also have many more cases with .654" belt and .540" rim.

These are the second and later runs in large numbers.

Nominal Base size ahead of the belt is .634"...Ed

Yes we get lot more guys into making these from our

case, whether the Lethal, Warlord or other, the 2 mile

contests will take off. Maybe demand so big would have a

run of completed cases at the factory like

they did our 585. The Warlord guy would do that if he

had the money. He wants his out in the public domain.

If I win lottery I'd get a 200,000 made,

And a million of my 585s, and twist Rugers arm to

Make #1s and big 77s for it...Nice to dream... Ed

Well we've put the 585HE in #1s and 77s.

Work great. But I'd also try to get others

like CZ and many others we've used, to do it.

As for 375s from our case, for extreme range the singleshot

Lawtons and Stillers and similiar are the best

I just took Mitch over two boxes of cases, as he is

building a bunch of the long range gun packages for guys.

Some on their actions and other actions..Ed

Ah, ya don't realize I"m a ruger hater. LOL.

I love #1s. Have one that was given to me. I try not to spend money with them if I can avoid it.

And after their fiasco with the 77s and palma rifles where almost none of the 77s given to the team were worth a flip, well there are better actions.

I'm impressed with 2 mile shoots. That would have been as much or more fun than service rifle out to 1000 with irons was for us! I suspect.

I enjoy reading these threads for sure!

Thanks, Jeff

Ed, Do you know what the .375's are using for twist? Also, that looks like a 30"+ barrel. Must be using some sllooowww powder. grin

Ed, go to the winner's website. It says they use H50BMG, RL50, or WC872. Up to 350 grn bullets they use a 9 twist. I believe the winner used the 400grn Berger experimental bullets. The brass has a 190grain capacity.

Some info about target 375 wildcats made from 585 HE ,

both about same power, And,the guy in Alaska with the 375 Warlord version, has

released it to public domain, he and I will have formed 375 Warlord cases, in a few weeks.

He has also released the reamer to the public, being made by JGS, so anyone wanting to do

a super ELR rifle, maybe get you a reamer ''now' on first reamer run at JGS,

so maybe you can get a gun done this winter, with reamer in hand. Then

go try the two mile contests next year..Ed

The cartridge has changed, it is now the 375 HE. And it is little different than other

two long 375s, about same or more capacity. They couldn't make enough cases so our

guys are making them. Made improvements based on research, and cases are getting done.

Reamer print is ready and getting at makers, it is at Manson reamers already, and

the 375 HE case is public domain, anybody can make reamers, dies, do your own necking, etc. Worldwide.

We are testing for best powders and speeds . Ed

How we size and seat 375 HE, one simple die, a 1" die, no monster dies needed
A die we can make with resize reamer from reamer guy, a regular die body, then
pass on to the next guy, those reamers can make a pile of dies.

I do primer work separate, not in the press. SO First with lock ring set, I size cases.

When coming back out of dies with case, we notice the case still well centered,
held straight, when it is down as far as the length of the 375 HE neck, IE
the sides and shoulder corner still supported tight.

So we put washer or another lock ring on, same thickness as neck length,
below original lock ring, screw down tight tight in press,

Dies had a 5/8 x 24 thread in top, had powder fill bushing and other stuff same thread,
reamed out from bottom to set bullet height, with ram, case, and bullet up, Start
bullet in case by hand, slide up in die, into holder, raise ram to to top, bullet seated
perfect. Die can have different thread in top as long as big enough to hold seating
bushing, that can be made from many items.

These target bullets held in by strong neck tension, no crimping needed, and notice
bullet point will get no marks or dents, fast, easy, no 380-500 buck special dies.
Bushing centering bullet on ogive is very accurate.

OVER 900 375HE cases behind presses getting done. About 600 on another bench
nearly ready. Small batches in shelves. And we will do more.

All 375 info, prints, specs, pictures, load data, etc, is public domain, worldwide..Ed

Shooting at 2miles the bullets are dropping from the sky so making adjustments is a bear.
