might be irrelevant but what is the scope...specifically do you have enough eye relief??

I had a pretty significant flinch, shot a bolt action .22 for 20-30 shots while allowing my barrel to cool, also made sure my scope is not a factor while shooting. It's a non issue now, has been for a few years, but these two pretty simple things helped greatly.

Proverbs
- A wise man feareth, and departs from evil: but the fool rages, in confidence.
- It is honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will meddle.
- Mischief is as sport to a fool: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

My .300 Win Mag Sendero shot .5 MOA (5 shots) out of the box with handloads. I only lightened trigger pull and torqued the stock screws to find its sweet spot at 45 lbs".

Change the trigger to a Calvin Elite. Load a lighter bullet, load it down, a bullet doesn't have to fly at 10,000 FPS to knock a hole in a piece of paper. It will kill an animal just as dead at 3200 as it will at 3400. Easier on you and rifle. I load my 7mm ultra mag at the starting load. It's faster than a 7Rem mag. Little recoil in a Sendero.

Sendaros typically really shoot...even the 300 rum...if the recoil and blast is bothering you ..that's likely the problem....I have put muzzle brakes on more 300 rums than any other calibure...
Nothing special about smithing a 700.. They are as basic as it gets....just a round tube that can be easily trued.

Check and re-check everything mechanical. Something may not be properly tightened or overtightened. Have your trigger worked if you don't know how to do it yourself. The X-Mark Pro trigger can be adjusted. Regarding bedding, the aluminum bedding blocks on Senderos don't fit the contour of the receivers correctly in my experience. I have bedded several of them properly and thereby improved accuracy. The sides of the receivers would contact the sides of the bedding blocks, and the bottom of the receivers were not in contact with the bedding pillars.

My 300 win mag Sendero shoots .75" with factory ammo without much tinkering. Had not planed to keep it till I shot it. Might let it go this year; just don't hunt it much.
The VSSF .223 will flirt with .5 " with factory Hornady VMax 55's; all I did was lighten the trigger. Thinking about adding a Timney and PTG firing pin/spring; it's a fun gun on the bench.
