Picking up a case of roasted NM Hatch Chilies tomorrow at Wegman's. Was going to roast myself but the roasters they use in the parking lot removes the seeds and provides a perfect hatch!!

Thinking it will be all things Hatch starting tomorrow. I believe these come from Melissa's Farm and Garden in NM.

Tis the season pards. Jump on 'em!!!

Last year at our local Wegmans. I think I need to make a stop tomorrow on the way home from the salt mine.

Picked up some last week. Right out of the roaster, out front of the local market.

Waited to long to peel them. Pain in the azz.

Tasted pretty good though.

Only better marketing is Copper River Salmon.

Tonight it was a hamburger cooked over charcoal and slathered with either Jack Miller's or Pig Stand brand BBQ sauce a few minutes before they were done. I love them this way.

The church people bringing them around to those of us gutting our flooded homes sure were nice.

Tonight is our last dinner home with our youngest as he heads off to A&M in the morning. It will be salmon, crab cakes, asparagus and rice pilaf.

jack, you've been reading my menu. smile

One of my favorite meals. Throw in a salad or mashed potatoes and I'm golden.

Alan I went by yesterday and grabbed 20 lbs. Now I either have to throw most of what's already in the freezer (and a little dated) away to store or head to Home Depot tomorrow for a new chest freezer. But HD has a nice little freezer at $129 so thinking that's the plan.

Man that parking lot where they were smoking the Hatch Peppers smelled great!!!

Scallops and crabs sounds great as a dinner, not so much as a diagnoses!

I layered sliced onion, potato, ham, and some roasted hatch green chilies in a pie shell and filled it up with a half dozen fresh eggs and some heavy cream whipped together. Topped with a bit of shredded chedda.

What can I say...I like quiche.

Thai curry fish soup for me. Ling cod collars and red rock cod fillets. Was mighty tasty.

Lentils and red beans, tomatoes, some Indian spices, finish with a bit of cream.

Over rice.

Gooood.
