Yes. I'm serious.
I bought two Shields a few weeks ago. A .40 and a 9mm. I should have bought them long ago.
They carry like a dream and shoot just as well. I'm sure the G43 is nice too. I put the Shield on top of the G43 and saw no discernible difference and the Shields were less coin at $400 a piece.
Love them.

Get a Blackhawk IWB holster! Best cheap ass holster I've owned. Maybe second best...

Are you serious? other choice was the glock 43 but felt more comfortable with the m&p. Have a look (also) at XDs 3.3 in 9, .40 or .45

Thanks for all the help too. 115's for practice and 147's for carrying in the 9mm. But that's my wife's. I shoot 180's in the .40 version. The .45 ACP version might be on the shelf too if you're interested. I've seen one locally. Dave

Hey everyone,
The wife and I are thinking about checking out Duluth on Labor Day weekend.
Any recommendations on where to stay? I wouldn't be opposed to tenting it at a campsite.
Any must see's/do's?
If we go, we are basically going to wing it the first time and maybe set up a more organized trip some other time.

Personally, I'd slate a half a day for Duluth itself, head down to canal park, do the touristy things and check out the shops such as duluth pack and similar ones. Maybe hop in on a tour of the glensheen mansion.
Then I'd clear on out of there and head north. There's more for me personally north of Duluth than there is in Duluth.
But, I completely defer to Tzone, he's actually from there.
Something clever here.

I'd also hit Fitgers while in Duluth http://fitgers.com/North? Take the scenic, Split Rock lighthouse, scramble some of the trails off the various waterfalls

Kid #2 passed hunters safety on Tuesday. He's ready to rock n roll now! He's riled up because we are hunting WI this season as well as mn someplace if we can find a few deer to chase.

I don't brag about the girl kid all too often but I should. I'm a proud papa. She's never had grade lower than an "A" on her report card...ever! Today she had her first high school swim meet. She made the dive team this year as an 8th grader.
She made 5 dives and 3 of them were pretty difficult according to the scoring chart which I don't understand yet. But her toughest dive was a Back Dive 1/2 twist and out of 27 total points she scored a 26.1.
Cool week in our house!!

Tom-I might have a line on a spot out in Jordan in the Minnesota River bottoms. A family from church is buying a small farm out there. Deer and turkey galore, with a good chance for a big bruiser. I'll keep you posted if it comes to fruition. Should be room for you and Mini Man.
