For those that have installed a carry clip or grip type clip on a snubbie J frame, which did you chose, how do you like it and what might you dislike about a particular type of clip?

I just picked up this 642-1 and plan to carry it pretty much daily. I suppose a pocket holster is another option as well.

Herro!

I have two of these on two different revolvers. They work best for appendix type carry but I can also carry it just behind center line on my strong side.

Draw back is the shallowness of the clip. It could work its way out of the waistband if you are really hustling.

Plus to that is it can still be used with the holsters I own for both revolvers.

I have one on an L-frame and the other on an LCR.

I like the Desantis clip grips also.

Not as secure with a j frame as when used on a semi auto. The cylinder &'higher ride can work the lil revolver out during activity as Clark noted

Also looking at IWB units like galco tuck n go or desantis sof-tuck. That might be a better way to go...

I have always used a pocket holster for my J Frame snubbies. Just works better for me.

Sam Andrews makes mine

I'll likely order those grips too, because they will still work with the sof-tuck.

This stuff is cheap, I love it.

That gun gets lots of mileage with just those grips.

to me interesting, the guy that invented that style of grip was a detroit policeman. I have one of his grips which does me no good being left handed.

I will second your choices Dave.
I still use an original Barami Hip Grip I have had for like 30 years. Been on a bunch of guns over the years.

I ever break that on I will get the DeSantis one to replace it and retire the Tyler "T" Grip!

IIRC they never made it for lefties.

Also picked up a pocket holster from black cock.

Weird name for a company but it's a nice product.
