Thinking of getting a Smith and Wesson Body Guard pistol in .380. Checked online for any problems, and there have been some postings about the reliability of them in the past, being ammo sensitive, etc.

However, the postings are old, the newest one was done in 2015 on the S/W Forum, and most of the negative comments are from 2011, etc.

Have the guns been improved by Smith or is it that people are not commenting on it anymore in regards to the reliability issues?

The laser was upgraded some time back but the pistol itself has not undergone any revisions to my knowledge.

I understand the warranty return rate is fairly high for the Bodyguard 380, which is never good sign.

The selling price for a new one has come down considerably this year which usually indicates sales are off.

The pocket .380 market is pretty competitive and S&W never really garnered a very big slice of the pie.

From what I have heard, I wouldn't want one but I have not used one.

That gun has one of the absolute worst triggers I could ever imagine pulling.

Rest of the gun seems OK but the trigger is a show stopper.......& I don't know of any aftermarket ones for it either.
