I think he just got caught up in the defendants idiotic actions and was having a little fun at the guys expense. I hope the defendant smarts off like that to some big Black dude in jail. It will probably be his last.

Since the judge didn't have him rung up for threats at that point, I assume, like James Jr says, that the judge was having fun at the guys expense. Not professional, but it was funny..... What's odd, is that anyone pulls the big ticket social justice LGBT issue as the focus here, when these guys were chatting it up about dicks, jerking off, rump ranging boys, killing the judges family, and all sorts of great stuff. And we are going to make this a "queer" comment issue? Someone needs a little vasoline....

My lawyer got a copy of the cop's ticket and he had written all kinds of comments (lies) on the ticket that weren't true. The cop didn't show up when we went before the judge so the case so the ticket should have been dropped. The judge ruled that I was guilty anyway without hearing my evidence and proceeded to chew my ass out. I got mad and started talking back the arrogant SOB and my lawyer told me to shut up before I got cited for contempt. I let the judge finish his rant and we left court. My lawyer filed an appeal and the case was dropped. 2) I filed for custody in my divorce and got a very liberal judge. One of my witnesses was a psychiatrist who had examined both of us. I was the one that requested the exam. My wife was all for the exam because she felt it would really make me look bad. The psychiatrist testified that I was a well adjusted individual but my wife has several mental disorders and it would be harmful for the children to live with her. Not only that she had tried to cheat on the written part of the examination. After a week long trial the judge gave my wife full custody and awarded her ALL community property plus I had to payoff her new car. Within a few months both kids moved in with me but I still had to pay child support for the next 10 years.

Depends on the state. Alaskan judges seem to try to get a 50/50 split. Unless you have a history of domestic violence and child protective services has been involved it's very rare for the mom to get sole custody of the kids. Conversely there are moms that have had those issues that have lost custody of the kids.
