both have 30mm tubes but the Meopta is 200 bucks more. For a 257 Roberts Kimber, will be set to 2-3 most often but shooting at paper the 10-12 is helpful. I see Tract has a similar but 1 inch tube only and Flave has not done the review. whistle

I have done that, but was limited by time. It was a look through deal only near dusk at the range with another shooter's Meopta and my VX6. In all honesty the Meopta was ever so slightly better optically, but if you didn't have them side by side you'd never know the difference. Without illumination features I gave a huge advantage to the VX6 duplex reticle.

JG: how come, is the reticle on the Meopta too thin?

It is for me jorge, but I will say the illuminated #4 in that same Meopta was a kick ass design, and easy to use. If I buy an R2 my 55 yr old eyeballs would only let me buy the illuminated version.

Obviously though in good to decent light, no ill. required.

I'm not seeing that Meopta Scope listed.

I think they discontinued that model jorgeI. Why? I do not know as I liked that config the best of all the R2's.

since the fixed it my VX-6 1-6 has been great, I personally like the thicker reticle but hardly ever use the firedot. Is the 2-12 same thicker reticle? The non lit variety are a bit cheaper.
