Walmart is closing out the RAR. They have them for 199.00 right now. Just bought a 243. Would have bought more but that was all they had. They said they thought the sale was good at all Walmarts that carry firearms.

Nice!
Not in Portland area

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Just called my local Wal-Mart. Full price here.

I passed on a 30-06 and 243 at that price. Wishing now I hadn't.

I'll have to keep an eye out. I'd like to have a 22-250 for that price

My local WM ran Remington ADL's at $299 with a cheap scope and mounts 2 years ago.

I was going to use it for a donor but I shot it one weekend....add another 30-06 to the pile

It then ended up with dual dove tails, V3 glass and a 1st Gen Ti stock.

I sold the factory stock for $75 and the cheap scope and mounts for $50

That rig with 180's made the trip out west with me last fall looking to notch my elk tag.

Ask your walmart to scan the barcode on the box. Some of the stores didn't know about the pricing.

The two I got today needed to be scanned from the box itself.

They went fast around here. I didn't hear about it till last night. Checked a few stores this morning and they were gone.

Why would they close them out. That rifle has Walmart written all over it.

No way I could pass up an 1895 45/70 for $299.

TnBigBore, the $299 ($249) after rebate) 1895 I just bought is every bit as nice as the two JM 1895's I have owned. The inletting in the wood is more precise than my 1894 JM. I know it's fun to run down "Remlin" but the growing pains are largely gone and Remington is turning out good Marlins these days.

I did go back and get an American 243 for $199.

I will take your word for it on the Remlins. I have handled several dozen since the take over including a few made this year. While the fit and finish does seem a bit better, the actions still seemed gritty and there were way too many sharp edges on the wood to suit me.

I would not mind picking up a Ruger American for $199 though.
