Recently returned from second trip to RSA and second trip with Chris Troskie,CT Safaris.
Arrived JNB 7-2 and overnight with Africa Sky they also did gun permits and meet and greet,great people.Off for week of touring,Boer Trekker monument,hot air ballon at Hartebeestportdam and stayed at Glenn Afric.On to Cheeta project and Pilgrims Rest.Next to Kruger Park for two days,park very dry but did see Big Five,very impressed with rhino at 30 yd.
Next week spent hunting plains game near Lephalale.Took old zebra stallion first day,very fine waterbuck second day.Moved to different concession for wildebeest and gemsbok.
Chris and Sabina do a superb job and Samson was tops.
Rifle used was a 60 yr. old Win. 70 in .270 it is custom stocked and dolled up just how I like them.Load was 140 gr. Barnes TSX which shot through just about everything,recovered only one bullet.
