In 25 years of rifle hunting, I have never had a quality scope fail me. But, in the last two weeks, both a Leupold VariX 3, and a Zeiss Conquest are headed back for repairs.
The Leupold stopped adjusting(vertically) on my 300 win Mag. No movement whatsoever.
The Zeiss reticle, now has a mind of its own. This morning went from .750 groups, to minute of stop sign! That one was on one of my 308's. The reticle jumps all over the place on the bore sighter.
Both were mounted and torqued properly, with the rings aligned. Better now, than on my hunting trip!
