Do you want traditional, or modern?
Light or heavy?
Push feed or whatever the CZ is.

5.5 to 8.5 lbs. rifle only
push or crf not convinced it makes a difference.
I want ultra reliable, comfortable to carry and shoot.
Traditional or modern not sure on this.

The 1st 4 rounds with a 3 grain under the eventual max breakin load , at 100 yards was 3rd's tocuhing and a "flyer" with all 4 of 'em hidden by a 25 cent piece...out of a brand new CZ 550, using 56gr's of RL15 under a Speer 270gr'er, WLR's, in Privi brass.

Can't say about the Tikka 9.3's had several in other calibers but they all liked to run FAST and they all shot boring small groups with their preferred loads ...but I regret selling THAT CZ every time I open the safe...just 'cause I wanted a Full Stock 9.3 ....that had already been sold when I showed up $$'s in hand. Made me sick to my stomach. Snooze Ya Looze
Shoulder is too screwed up to shoot a 9.3 any more...might try a 9.3 x57 though in a original Husqvarna no farther than I ususally try to kill something at.

Make a list of pros and cons, so we can be of more assistance. Something like this:

1. Weight of rifle.
2. CRF
3. Pushfeed
4. Wood stock
5. Synthetic stock
6. Saftey preference
7. Trigger preference
8. Stock shape
9. Ergo's
10. Equipped with Irons or not..

Let us know what you prefer and let's not get into which rifle shoots better. We all know the Tikka's are known great shooters and the 9.3x62mm is a very easy cartridge to load for. With this being said, the CZ550 American I had would put damn near any Tikka I've ever seen to shame in the accuracy department. Just sayin...and yes, I've shot a Tikka 9.3x62mm, along with a Zastava, and Styer rifles chambered in 9.3x62mm. They all shot well, but the CZ shot the best..

I own 2 CZ's, and I believe that company makes the most-accurate out-of-the-box rifles you can buy nowadays, across their entire product line.

Bud's Guns has the full stock 550. Picked one up a few months ago, very nice wood and shoots great.

We have a winner!

Then again I would go with a Sako Black Bear

I have looked at the Sako BB and I like it a lot right up to the $1700.00 price. I just agreed to buy (from this site) a Tikka T-3 Forester in you guessed it 9.3x62 plus I found a CZ FS in same cal. used for a fair price. So I might give them both a try. They might replace one or all of my 338 win mags, 35 whelen, 308 win.
Not sure right now.
Thanks Erich

I hate to burst your bubble, but I was of the same opinion about the 9.3x62mm. Shot a cow elk with it, sent the 9.3x62mm down the road, still have the 338 wm and 375H&H.. The 9.3 is an awesome round, but I still prefer the good ol 338...
