I'm still in America.

But I'll be there this week. Can't wait to observe all the Pollocks in their natural habitat.

Cool story Tom. I love the dirt as much as anyone and have much respect for the guys that ran those friction clutches & brakes.
I will own my own dragline one day. I've been kicking tracks for a few years and am dealing on a little B-E right now. All my toys are juice powered but I still want a friction cable puller in the worst way.

ND, brush smashing can be fun. Right up there with snow hammering but a different season. I've been doing some of that myself for some property owners in the area. I prefer to run my dozers in the woods but ducking flying timber has it's place.

Maybe a mulcher on the front of the Nodwell is in order. You think we can get it stuck?

I know a place we might be able to get it stuck if we really squirm it and rip up the bog turf good enough. grin

Great work Dave. Won't it be nice to not have to shoot three times just to open up a hole in the brush big enough to get a bullet down range? No more hunting with a bayonet this year!

Lemme see what I have but if you're looking to buy, I'd take a hard look at Redfield Revolution. Jack has a RR 2-7x33 on his Ruger .223

Revolution

I go a chance to look through Tom's Revolution a couple years ago. When I buy my next scope, it'll be a Revolution.

I've got 2 redfields. Both 2-7x33's. 1 ancient, & 1 new. Like them both, but the glass on the new one is far superior to the oldie !

Very, very nice scope

50* this morning puts a little spring in my step!

A few leaves are changing, humidity is dropping. I feel the need to put up a few trail cams this weekend.

The kids are I are going to shoot a bit as well. We cleaned guns a few nights ago. It's been a few years for that. grin The kid soaks it up though, so we'll keep doing that stuff.

This is a really entertaining thread! I started reading it from the beginning a few days ago, I'm only on page 20 so I've got a few more to go. laugh

Northern Dave, I'm really enjoying the story and pictures of the evolution of your deer camp,And I appreciate all the folks that have added to it.

'Course the pics of those big ol' North country bucks aren't bad either! grin
