Love me some goober peas Hoop! Those bags you sent me were bawled with a ham hock, jalapenos and Old Bay. Three of us ate both bags in one football game. The fumes however got rather toxic! From us, not the paynuts.

Had to google what that was. And still not sure if it compares.

To eat you put the shell in your mouth. Crack it, suck the juice, then eat the nuts.

Doesn't sound like edemame. I'd try em if given a chance.

nothing compares to food cooked fresh.

with that said, it should be outlawed to produce canned boiled goobers.

cook 'em fresh or they ain't worth having around for hurricane supplies.

fiddler farms in silverhill, alabama produces some of the best jumbo peanuts to be had. you can buy them green, boiled or roasted. they even sell the culls for deer food (deer crack).

one can only feel sorry for those folks, not born and raised in the South. It's sad to hear any one call a boiled peanut "snot in a shell". Just sad. smile

Or 2 tablespoons of liquid crab boil along with a good dash of Kosher salt. Let soak until cool.
