I'm a bit perplexed by this stock. The checkering doesn't match any aftermarket pre-64 stock I am familiar with. I wonder if it is a post-64 stock, modified to work with this pre-64 rifle, but am not sure.

Dont believe they made a pre-64 stock?
Probably a modified later model stock.

Thanks irfubar! I believe you are correct. I am not a post-64 guy, but did a search on B&C stocks and saw some with this same checkering. Thanks for the info!

I have one and I'm 90% sure it is a B&C made stock. v best winpoor
