One more elk for the freezer.... #11441382 09/16/16

OP smokepole Campfire 'Bwana S Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 45,996 Colorado	I saw saddlesore's elk and thought I'd add my own pic. I was also using a 348 PB with 80 grains of BH209. She was below me so the shot was on a downward angle and the wound on her lower shoulder is an exit. My partner also killed one opening morning with the same bullet, his penetrated the scapula, proving once again that PBs are no good on elk: A wise man is frequently humbled.

I broke down and bought a new ML this year so I could use the 209. Darn, you are getting to look as old as I am Last edited by saddlesore; 09/17/16. If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles
