Another alternative nobody mentioned is the Saturn Boone...

As for epoxy only sticking to the mount and not the receiver--- ?? It'll bond to both sides equally well. Epoxy as a bedding compound? Sure, it's "reversible" and won't permanently harm the gun, but an "Oh my god, what was I thinking" royal pain in the ass to remove if/when it comes time to do that.

One might say to just apply release agent to the surface of the rifle- problem solved. Yes, but then you're not getting the whole benefit of the epoxy which would be to reinforce the mounting screw(s) of a single point mount.

Just buy the Lightfoot mount and ride off into the sunset.

Ouch! Bad trade! grin Wallowa county is God's country. Sorry about my attitude earlier, you caught me in a pissy mood. I was reminded of a gunsmith that boogered up a rifle I had him drill and tap. He drilled the holes off centered, stripped halfa them, and epoxied the mounts on. It was alot of fun.

No Roy, you haven't, how bad are they, Joe.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

your right about the bad trade! When I was young and raising a family, work was plentiful in Klamath and non existent in Wallowa county. After OIT I stayed in Klamath! Gunsmiths here are all about assembling black rifles, not custom work or basics. I'm lucky to have access to a complete machine shop, so I started today making the mount. I'll try and post a picture when done!

I'd knock out the rear sight on the barrel, mount the Fastfire there. should be able to fab a mount pretty easy.

Volquartsen used to make a weaver block that fit into the Ruger MK pistol rear sight dovetail.

Says no longer available.
