After seeing JWP475's convertible Redhawk, I've just been all hot and bothered to build one up. I'd probably do a .41 mag / .45 Colt.

I also have a 4" Python barrel in my parts bin that's just begging for a frame to mount it on. I want to put it on a Mk III Trooper frame because there's no markings on the frame...Then I can try to convince people Colt made a Mk III Trooper crazy crazy

And there's two .22's I'd still love to have.

1- Colt Officers Match
2 - S&W M18 Combat Masterpiece
Always got a little weak in the knees in the presence of either of those two revolvers.

And I still have a CZ P07 on my radar, especially after I recently received my HBE Com III for a P07...Now I need to fill that holster.

So what handguns do you have a hankerin for?

Do you mean like a S&W 18-2?

I would like to have another S&W model 41. It's been a while since I owned one. So long that I bought and sold the last one for under $400.

I would like to have a H&K P-7... Real Walther PPK,not a S&W...Possibly an Ed Brown LW kobra Carry.

Shadow with the short dust cover tricked out.

There is no accounting for taste.

Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.

Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however,
Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.

You guys are instigators just posting this. smile
S&W Model 18 sounds good.
S&W Model 66 3" sounds good too.
Nice S&W 629-4 4" with original grips would be nice.
I'd be lying if I didn't include 629-4 3"
Ruger Speed Six 3" 357 Mag also hard to find and pricey.
I try not to think about things like this. Just get's me in trouble. smile

Well, it's been a lot of years since I read about the Mag-Na-Port "Predator" conversion of the Super Blackhawk, but I wanted one without the Mag-Na-Porting and the barrel left at 5" (even with the end of the ejector rod housing from the 10 1/2" model) so it would be legal for deer hunting in Ohio... but now I'd be happy with the new factory .480.

Also would love to have an American Derringer 45/70 over/under just because. I saw one once, used, at a gun show in Louisville for $350. Kick myself for not snatching it then.

Probably another scandium S & W .357. Probably the 342 this time. Used to have two 360's, one with the short barrel, one with the 3" adjustable sight model. Ridiculous recoil with the magnums, only mildly painful with hot .38's, but having options is nice.

I've got at least one of all those. Well, close, anyway. My 66 has a 2.5" barrel, and my S&W forty-fours are both Twenty-Nines, not stainless. I do have precisely the Ruger Speed Six you refer to, but in stainless. Not sure if you were thinking of the blued or stainless version.

Correction: I've learned that the three inch Speed Six is a rare variant. I have the more standard length snubby Speed Six. Looks like you like the rare variants of these guns.

I bought the Sig legion 226 about 5 months ago. Fine shooting pistol.

S & W Mod. 41 to replace the one I should have never sold way back in 1975. Back when I was a lot younger, dumber, and broker.

S&W 696 3", about to build a 4 5/8" 500 JRH Bisley. Any S&W model 10, 64, 67, or 65. You simply can't have enough of them and I have handfuls.

Actually, I just bought it- a S&W model 15-1, K-38 Combat Masterpiece. Serial number gives it a Born on Date of 1960. Looks essentially new, just the slightest turn line. The story is that it was purchased by the previous owners brother, passed to him, and was stored for the last 20 years unfired. LGS had it in the case, they cater to the tactical crowd. It was priced more than fairly so I just paid his asking price. Besides, it doesn't really matter if I "bought a little early"- it isn't going anywhere. I didn't really need it since I have both a 13-3 and a 19-3, but you asked about WANT...
