Got my first pic worthy rapala trout this morning. Struck out at the first hole, he chased the bleeding shad twice before finally connecting the 3rd time at the 2nd hole. I hear ya, pretty low here as well. Archery is opening soon, so it will pour down rain for the 1st 3 days.

A jointed one! Havent tried one of those yet. I like the jointed better. For me, they "out catch" the streight Rapalas two to one. If I only had one lure for every fresh water fish, it would be a jointed J-7 Rainbow pattern like the one in the photo.

Thanks for the info, have to add that one to my tackle box. They stock my favorite trout lake this tues. I'll be at work but will be there this fri for sure.
