Well it i guess is not all that common. But not to rare either. It sure looks like a shooter. I put some old hand loads through her and got some very good groups.

"What we own versus what was made isn't necessarily representative."
"Rick, then why don't we see more of them, with the EG style stocks?"

Not trying to prove the number produced, just wanted to show that they are out there. I think the response gives an idea of how common the EG is in reference to the other models.

I have one EG in 308 and three pre-mil F's in 308. I killed an elk with the EG last season. I'm really fond of EG's and have one in every caliber except 243. Hopefully I'll get a nice royalty check for my book pretty soon and will be able to add the 243 to the collection. David

yes, I hope that your scholarly efforts with the 99 prove quite fruitful! But now I'm kicking myself in the butt for passing on the 1950s Fs in .243 and .358 I came across years ago - and I won't mention the EG in .308 that got away from me in a pawn shop up in Redding back in the 90s. Arghh...

I have a 308R and a 358R along with the other post war calibers except a 243. Only have seen 2 for sale, one was in fair condition and other one highly collectable but out of my price range.
