I see a lot of Raptors around the Austin area. Nice looking trucks. That should tell you all you need to know about them. I can't think of anything that would motivate me to pay that kind of money for a Ford pickup. For that kind of money I'd buy a Toyota Land Cruiser & have something reliable. Horsepower only sells trucks to teenagers with daddy's credit cards.

Finally got a price for a 2017 Ford Raptor Crew Cab.
$51310 as a Base Price Equipment Group 801A $3158 (This is the mid package) Equipment Group 802A $9345 (This is the luxury package)
This doesn't count other options thrown in. Or the 5G's the dealer wanted to charge over MSRP.
Final price for a Raptor with Luxury, Dealer Extra Add on, Destination Charges etc.
$67,049
That doesn't include ALL of the options. You could easily be at $75-80G's.
Yeah...I don't think that is going to happen for me this year.
How much extra do you pay for them to pay off BLM.

Most dealers will match a Dave smith price. Do all negotiations via email. The fleet manager is often a good guy to deal with. Start out at $500 below invoice less whatever the current incentives are. Invoice is roughly 10% off sticker. I believe edmunds will calculate the invoice price with the options, the destination charge will be added. The dealer should give you an invoice on the vehicle. This works for all the makes. But the brands like Toyota and Honda don't often offer any incentives. Sometimes you can get incentives as much as 8 k on the big 3 trucks depending on the time of year.

But you can't get them in the US. I have looked at the Z71 and the Dodges. But when you compare prices...I would rather pay a little more and have all the benefits of a Raptor with heavy duty suspension etc.
A Raptor does NOT have a heavy suspension! It has a soft suspension. It's not built for towing. It is however a very capable off road truck.

Still have a RAM which is owned by a company in Italy and has less resale then any comparable Ford,Chevy or Toyota. Compare apples to apples a F250 will cost more and hold its resale value more then willa RAm.

What are your truck needs? Something that is safe for hauling around two kids. Able to get in and out of nasty boat ramps so I can launch my raft or drift boat. Take Elk and Deer hunting down two tracks and in random places. My issue is lots of so called "trucks" have turned into urban city vehicles. I would gladly bring a Toyota Hilux from here in Norway. Manual, Diesel, built very well, great off road etc. But you can't get them in the US. I have looked at the Z71 and the Dodges. But when you compare prices...I would rather pay a little more and have all the benefits of a Raptor with heavy duty suspension etc. I am moving from Norway to the US next year. I have some cash put away for a truck. So I am looking at my options. That truck seemed to fit the bill pretty well. What is killing me right now is not the truck price (for once in my life, as I am used to expensive stuff over here and vehicle prices.) A comparable Ford Ranger here would be 100,000USD Its the exchange rate. When we started working over here, it was 1USD to 5.7 Kroner. Now its 1USD to 8 Kroner. Kills transfers of money back to the US. You can get a Ram 2500 workman with the Cummins diesel for $40k from Dave Smith Motors, ignore the sticker prices just pick one you like, email them and a sales person will call you with a quote. Now if you really want a heavy duty offroad vehicle I'd say forget the trucks and get a Toyota Landcruiser. Yes, even more money than a Raptor but IMHO worth it. And it's not an overpriced American SUV, it's an honest to goodness offroad vehicle.

Click Here Watch the video at the link above. You'll have to scroll down a bit to see it. While it's a virtual vehicle, the video details the upgrades made to the new Raptor. Seems like it's going to be pretty heavy duty to me. Who's going to be the first on the Fire to own one?

Mostdealers will match Dave Smith's prices ? Not in my area. When I went shopping for my diesel powered Ram back in '06, the price difference was about $2200. And that was only one dealer. It cost me about $500 to go and bring it back from Idaho. My Jeep Wrangler was much closer, about $700. But, again that was only one dealer. The rest of them still wanted $2000 plus more. BTW, my '06' Ram is suppose to be worth about what I paid for it.... The local dealers never have them for sale used. Even people who work for the dealers can't get used ones. If you really want a true, reasonably priced off road vehicle, consider a Jeep Wrangler. The four door models are so popular Jeep has had to run two shifts during production to keep up with demand. E
