Recently had a shoulder injury and am looking at options for a crossbow. I've had a ten point for a few years now, but am looking at all option now. Any input on what people like for brands/model would be great.

Thanks.

What's wrong with the 10 Point? I love mine.

Ten point - best warranty, best resale,....

Some bows may exceed thier speeds but often have problems and not the quality of the ten point.

Scorpyd is a step up to any brand IME but you pay for that difference.

I'm sold on Excalibur crossbows. The simple recurve design allows you to work on the bow without a bow press. Changing strings is simple. They are very accurate. Good customer service as well. I bought my Excalibur over 10 years ago. The only thing I've ever had to replace was the string which is normal on any bow.

If you are able to pull back the weight and shoot a lot, recurves are the way to go. A lot more trouble free and easier to work on. Excalibur is nice, but for the best, look at Kodabow. No reported limb problems, and few issues reported of any kind. Great trigger, and about as rugged as they come. Check out the video of pulling parts out of a shoe box, putting it together, and hitting the bullseye first shot.

Ten Point, Ten Point, and Ten Point are my 3 favorite brands.

Excaliburs are nice bows. Too bad they are ten feet wide and so loud. Recurves are louder.....

I guess that depends on your definition of wide. My bow is 7.5" narrower, and only 13.5" cocked. Which is a huge difference. Most Excaliburs are even more wide.

Interestingly, the Micro 335 is the first Excalibur where I have seen them actually post a width in the specs on their website. They used to always conveniently leave it out.

Excaliburs are good bows. But width and noise are what keeps me away. Plus, I have been very happy with TenPoint for years now. On my second one......
