I have some high mounts that look very much like the old style Sako mounts. They have the large thumb screw to tighten the clamps on the dovetail and both mounts have a recess to hold a lug. Very nicely finished and all steel. Only marking is on one mount: AUSTRALIA They will fit the the dovetails on a 45 year old Tikka, so I suspect they will work on the pre-Garcia Sako rifles as well. Anybody know who made these?

Not particularly expensive, no. I have several sets of them, on various rifles, and would happily buy them again.

You can't beat a L-61 Sako.
